Why change?

The current rules/constitution limit the time a Board member may serve to a maximum of 9 years, this was intended to enable a balance of longevity and new members on the Board.

In 2022 some Board members will be forced to stand down, even though they have a great skill set that continues to be relevant to DSGNZ, and they would like to continue their voluntary support of DSGNZ.

When will they change?

The changes will be voted upon at the Annual General Meeting of The Dyspraxia Support Group on 30th June 2021. If the rule changes are approved, they will come into effect immediately.

What are the changes?

The rules have been amended to remove the term limits for Board Members. There are also changes to allow meetings to be held via existing and future technology platforms (eg zoom).
